About Me

Hi I’m Ola 👋 aka Aleksandra, Ola is short for Aleksandra.

I am a PhD student at the University of Oxford and I am working on modern machine learning techiniques for drug discovery. I am part of the FLAIR lab and I am supervised by Prof. Jakob Foerster and Dr Francesca Vianello. I am also part of the SABS R3 CDT programme.

I completed my BSc at the University of Edniburgh, where I studied AI and Computer Science. I had the opportunity to spend a year at Caltech, as part of an exchange programme. There, I have received a summer research fellowship (SURF) and worked with Prof. Yisong Yue on improving cooperation in multi-agent reinforcement learning. I have continued working on that research problem as part of my Bachelor dissertation in Edinburgh.

Before starting my PhD I worked for 3 years as an AI Research Scientist at Exscientia. I worked on developing Genearative Molacular Design (GMD) algoritms, with a focus on reinfocement learning applications to GMD.
